Circle of Security® Parenting™ program

Circle of Security® Parenting™ is a parent-reflection program offering the core components of the evidence-based and internationally acclaimed Circle of Security protocol.
Through this program parents will learn how to:

  • Reflect and develop their own parenting style

  • Focus on how parent/child relationships can be strengthened, and

  • Learn new ways to understand and respond to children’s needs and behaviour.

Circle of Security Parenting implements decades of attachment research in an accessible step-by-step process.

Duration: 4 x 2 hour sessions, held fortnightly during school terms
Cost: $75 per session, $300 total

Our Parent Information Sessions are a popular choice for many parents. If you are feeling isolated as a parent, this is also a good place to begin building your support network.

Topics include:
Managing Difficult Behaviours
Understanding Autism
Anxiety in Children
Guiding Your Children with Friendship Difficulties
Learning Disabilities in Children
ADHD in Children
Confidence/Self-Esteem and Emotional Resilience
Stages of Development and How to Manage Them

Duration: 2 hours, held fortnightly on Wednesdays during school terms
Cost: $75 per session

Parenting Information Sessions

Carers’ Support Group

This is a social support group for all carers including: parents, grandparents, siblings, guardians, and support workers.

Michelle, the Director of Ocean Grace, has 25 years of experience working with families impacted by disability, and is a parent of a child with a disability. Ocean Grace is hosting this group to provide a safe, encouraging space for other carers to gather, access information and supports.

Duration: 1 hour, fortnightly, Thursdays at 9:45am, held during school terms
Cost: $25 (morning tea provided)


Tame your Tiger program

How to Tame Your Tiger: Helping Tweens Learn How to Manage Their Anger & Other Emotions

Emotional regulation helps with learning at school, impulse control, making friends and supports tweens to become more independent. The group setting can assist children to develop regulation skills by talking, planning, and problem solving together with their peers, which helps to build good social, self-confidence, and self-esteem skills.

Duration: 2 hour workshop, held during school holidays
Ages: Children 10 – 12 years
Cost: $95 each
